It acts as a First Stop Shop for potential entrepreneurs, providing a range of services including managed workspace, business skills training, business consultancy, a small business loans fund, business services, and information and advice.

CIDO manages the Business Start programme across Northern Ireland. CIDO is also one of the enterprise agencies that offers the Enter Enterprise programme for intending entrepreneurs.
