Dublin BIC seeks to improve the survival rates and growth prospects of new and existing small enterprises by providing assistance, on a selective basis, to prospective entrepreneurs, start-up businesses and established small businesses with potential for growth, exports and employment creation.

Dublin BIC provides advice on making effective applications for finance to various agencies and to the enterprise support units of the main banks.

Dublin BIC manages three venture capital funds (see separate entries):

• The Business Innovation Fund
• The Dublin Seed Capital Fund
• The Irish BICs Seed Capital Fund.

It also manages the Halo Business Angel Partnership, a joint initiative between Enterprise Ireland, InterTradeIreland and the Irish Business & Innovation Centres.
