Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) is a modern technological university providing professional education to doctoral level. DIT actively encourages and supports the development of new business ventures and continuing professional development opportunities and our structured PhD programme delivers professional transferable skills as well as research training within a disciplinary framework.
The Directorate of Research & Enterprise is responsible for the development and sustainability of DIT’s research and scholarship activities including its enterprise programme.
The enterprise team advises on and supports and manages the process of research commercialisation, contract research and industry engagement, including IP, licensing, consultancy, continuing professional development and training.
Hothouse () is DIT’s award-winning Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre. The Hothouse team helps staff and students to identify, protect and commercialise intellectual property. Hothouse can also help staff set up a campus or spin-out company or form a joint venture.
The Professional Development Services () team helps DIT staff to develop and deliver CPD training courses for industry and the professions. It acts as a professional conduit between the two sectors, enabling industry to access the wealth of expertise existing in Dublin Institute of Technology.
