ECAD reflects a local partnership between various social and economic groups in response to local issues and needs.

ECAD is one of the Community Groups funded by ADM Ltd and also a LEADER+ company.

ECAD now administers the Local Development measure of the Social Inclusion Programme, the successor to the Local Development Programme and the National Rural Development Programme in East Cork.

It is one of the organisations behind FarmOptions.ie.
