The European Investment Fund invests in venture capital funds and business incubators that support SMEs, particularly those that are early stage and technology-oriented.

In Ireland, the EIF has invested in:

• ACT Venture Capital
• Delta Equity Fund II
• Guinness Ulster Bank Equity Fund
• ICC Private Equity Fund
• Trinity Venture Fund

Note that the EIF does not invest directly in SMEs, only through venture capital funds.
