Empower.ie is an €3.8 million e-based initiative for small businesses, delivered by City/County Enterprise Boards on behalf of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

Under the initiative, the Enterprise Boards provide e-business services and incentives to micro-businesses, including:

• An awareness campaign
• Technical assistance grants
• Grant assistance towards the development of a website
• Mentoring to help selected companies to develop fully integrated IT plans and strategies
• Training in Internet essentials, web management and design skills.
