One of the Area Partnerships funded by Area Development Management, as part of its Local Development programme. It supports local people on the Back to Work Enterprise Area Allowance Scheme, a Department of Social and Family Affairs initiative that offers support to individuals who wish to start their own businesses. It allows participants to retain benefits on a sliding scale, over a four-year period, and also offers further support such as training programmes, mentoring and small grants.
Set-up support, capital grants and loan financing are available to support the development of community enterprises that create real jobs while meeting a social need within the community.
