Members of credit unions or businesses structured as co-operatives may qualify for a credit union loan.

Each application is treated in the utmost confidence and will be considered on its own merits. In deciding whether to grant the loan, the member’s record of saving and repayments, as well as ability to repay, and need will be taken into account.

ILCU provides support services in training, financial and insurance services, legal, marketing and IT, and regular monitoring of credit unions. A credit union’s membership of the League, together with Fidelity Bonding and membership of the Savings Protection Scheme gives extra assurances of security to the member.

ILCU's website offers a database of credit unions in Ireland.
