InnovationWorks, formerly the Innovation Centre, at the National Technological Park, Limerick by Shannon Development, is a digitally-networked business incubation centre and is part of the Shannon Development Knowledge Network.

It offers the following services to high potential, technology and knowledge-intensive companies:

• The Campus Enterprise Programme facilitates and supports entrepreneurs at the University of Limerick, the Limerick Institute of Technology and the Institute of Technology Tralee, through:
  
  • Project and business development advice
  • Access to grant, equity and early-stage discretionary funding
  • A salary subvention of up to IR£15,000 in the first year
  • Business training and mentoring
  • Technical evaluation and guidance, including advice on patenting and licensing issues
• The Digitech Business Development Programme simulates aspects of a start-up business in its planning stage
• The Mentor Programme, operated in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland, provides access to the expertise, experience and contacts of senior business people
• Through a consultative process involving the client firm and one of Shannon Development's executives, the Venture Development Programme puts in place business development strategies to meet the specific developmental needs of individual projects.

Through the Innovation Centre, the University of Limerick Alumni Association offers an entrepreneurship programme to support alumni interested in creating a new business.

It also hosts Limerick Business Innovation Centre.
