A network of Innovation Relay Centres has been set up throughout Europe under the Fourth Framework Programme for Research and Technological Developments. The IRC in Northern Ireland is hosted by Invest Northern Ireland and works closely with the local European Information Centre.
The main role of the IRC is to promote transnational technology transfer.
