The IWEA promotes the use of wind energy in Ireland. Its members are business people, environmentalists, academics and farmers who recognise that wind energy will soon become one of Ireland’s most significant sources of energy.

Activities of the association include:

  • Working to influence government policy in renewable energy
  • Answering general enquiries
  • Working to ensure fair access to the Irish electricity grid
  • Submissions to government on proposed legislation (for example, EU Electricity Directive)
  • Commissioning authoritative reports
  • Working with other environmental organisations in Ireland.

The members section of the website provides publications for download in PDF format.
