The Northern Ireland Science Park aims to be a hub for knowledge-based businesses on the island. Its first building, a 56,000 sq ft Innovation Centre, has been completed and work on the Queen's University Electronics, Communications and Information Technology Research Institute is well underway.

Both the Queen's University and University of Ulster are partners in the park.
