The North West Kildare/North Offaly Partnership is better known as the OAK (Offaly and Kildare) Partnership. It is one of the Area Partnerships funded by Area Development Management, as part of its Local Development programme.

OAK provides financial support — grant assistance, interest subsidy and loan guarantees — for the unemployed to develop enterprise projects. Advice on business planning, finance and insurance and other issues is also available.

For community groups, facilitation and training is supported and encouraged as a prerequisite to project funding.
