ORTUS is a Local Enterprise Agency and a member of Enterprise Northern Ireland.

As well as managing two enterprise centres in West Belfast, it administers its own ORTUS Business Loan Fund. It also provides consultancy and training, including a "Women in Enterprise" programme.
