The Prince's Trust Northern Ireland was set up in 1976 and is now the largest cross-community charity investing in young people.

Through its Business Programme, the Trust offers:

  • Low interest loans of up to stg£5,000
  • Test marketing grants of up to stg£250
  • Bursaries of up to stg£1,500 (stg£3,000 where there are two or more partners)
  • Up to three years’ mentor support
  • Incubation workspace
  • Other support, including: IT training, logo design, discounted web site design, help with a marketing strategy, discounted exhibition space and specialist advice.

Applicants should be:

  • Aged 18–30

  • Able to demonstrate that they are unable to raise all the necessary finance from banks, families or other sources — therefore, the Prince's Trust is a last resort funder
