The Seed Capital Scheme repays income tax to people leaving employment to start their own businesses (only companies qualify, not sole traders or partnerships).
In the year of starting their business, qualifying individuals may claim back the tax paid in respect of up to €31,744 of income in each of the previous five tax years, to a maximum of €158,718.
