The Small Firms Association is the national organisation exclusively representing the needs of small enterprises in Ireland. It represents and provides economic, commercial, employee relations and social affairs advice and assistance to over 8,000 member companies, and holds a range of seminar programmes and member networking evenings annually. In addition, the association conducts regular surveys of business trends in the sector and publishes a monthly magazine “Running Your Business” along with many reports on the needs of small Irish business. The SFA has also put in place a range of cost-effective group services, exclusive to member companies. These Group schemes include Insurance, ISO 9001: 2000, VHI, debt collection, pensions, crime management, and AA membership. In addition, its web-site, www.sfa.ie has been designed and developed to provide all information and services on-line to members and to allow members to advertise their products and network with each other.
