The Sligo County Enterprise Fund was established in 1988 as part of The International Fund for Ireland's border counties initiative.

The primary role of the the Enterprise Fund is providing low-interest loans to individuals and community group starting up or expanding viable economic projects.

It has built the Enterprise & Technology Centre to stimulate local enterprise development.
