Ulster Bank, a member of the RBS-NatWest Group, has a Small Business Adviser in every branch to guide and advise entrepreneurs through the start-up process and explain, help and direct them through every aspect of business banking.

Start-up businesses with a turnover below £100,000 (€127,000) qualify for 12 months free banking. Ulster Bank has various lending schemes available including overdrafts, loans, leasing and invoice discounting, and offers Internet banking and e-commerce facilities.

Ulster Bank also offers a Small Business Start-Up Guide, In Control (cash flow management guide) and Business Planning video, which are available free from its branches. Its website explains the “7 Steps to Starting up a Business”.

Its Franchise Unit provides support to both franchisers and franchisees.
