The Regional Development Office co-ordinates direct linkages, partnerships and interaction with business, community, economic and regeneration organisations and creates strategic alliances with partner organisations such as district councils, partnership boards, and government agencies involved in regional economic and community development.

The RDO works closely with the Co-ordinators of Academic Enterprise in each of the University's faculties, to ensure that good practice and up-to-date information is disseminated and reported to and from the faculties.

RDO services include:

• Business support
• Access to knowledge - a single point for information on skills and expertise available across the University
• Embedding entrepreneurship, through the Northern Ireland Centre for Entrepreneurship
• Information for those wishing to participate in the EU Peace and reconciliation Programme
• Community and voluntary sector support.
